Step into the Lead Role that Keeps Our Automated Network Moving
As the Facilities Maintenance Team Lead, you’ll guide a crew of 2–5 support technicians across our Fulfillment Centers (FC) and Distribution Centers (DC). Drawing on 5+ years in automated distribution or production environments, you’ll serve as the primary contact for project updates, repairs, and preventive maintenance. Your leadership, clear communication, and ability to coordinate across all organizational levels will keep operations running smoothly—day after day.
A day in the life
Early walkthroughs across warehouse common areas, campus perimeter, smokers’ areas, landscaping, and trash/cardboard zones to set priorities and ensure an organized, safe environment
Morning huddles to assign daily and weekly work, coach technicians, and align on SOPs and safety practices
Mid-morning collaboration with Operational Leaders to schedule downtime and coordinate cleaning and maintenance with Facilities Support
Real-time monitoring of production and facilities equipment performance; jump in with technical guidance and troubleshooting when needed
Afternoon focus on standardizing and developing SOPs for support technicians, training to documentation, and cross-training on equipment operations
Late-day wrap-up: verify min/max spare parts, engage the Maintenance Supervisor on campus project coordination and spare parts inventory, review contracted janitorial performance, and update building/system records, fleet lists, and NA Network CAD and drafts
What you will lead and deliver
Lead daily tasks for support technicians; ensure organized upkeep throughout warehouse and campus areas, including smokers’ areas, landscaping, and waste zones
Coordinate downtime with Operations; align Facilities Support on cleaning and maintenance windows
Partner with the Maintenance Supervisor for campus project coordination and spares management
Monitor equipment performance and provide hands-on technical support and consultation
Train team members to SOPs and related documentation; build proficiency in maintenance, equipment operation, and assigned functions
Create and standardize SOPs for the support technician role to serve both FC and DC
Oversee the daily routine of contracted janitorial services
Remain on call for emergency callbacks; flex start times and work overtime as needed, including holidays and plant shutdowns
Identify and implement methods to maximize production and throughput
Assist, coordinate, and execute capital projects
Maintain accurate min/max spare parts levels
Maintain the Campus Fleet list in line with state requirements
Keep Building and System Documents current for the Annual Risk Assessment
Maintain NA Network CAD files and drafts
Champion a strong safety culture; follow all safety policies and practices
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
5+ years of experience in an automated distribution or production environment
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); able to build and interpret spreadsheets
Self-starter who works independently and shows initiative
Thrives under pressure and tight deadlines with strong attention to detail
Understands the importance of accuracy in every task
Able to follow work instructions to achieve productivity and quality goals
