Facilities Maintenance Tech 2 - 2nd Shift

The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver who takes pride in quality workmanship, works well independently and with others, and understands the importance of preventive maintenance and workplace safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance and repairs on facility equipment, building systems, and related infrastructure.

• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other facility-related issues.

• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and equipment breakdowns to minimize operational disruptions.

• Conduct inspections of facility systems and identify potential maintenance or safety concerns.

• Maintain and repair doors, locks, lighting, fixtures, plumbing components, and other building systems.

• Assist with HVAC and environmental control systems and coordinate outside service providers when specialized repairs are required.

• Perform basic electrical and mechanical repairs in accordance with company policies and applicable safety requirements.

• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance.

• Monitor facility supplies, tools, spare parts, and maintenance materials; communicate replenishment needs.

• Maintain a clean and organized maintenance shop and work areas.

• Support facility projects, equipment installations, moves, renovations, and improvements as needed.

• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.

• Work collaboratively with production, operations, and other departments to address facility and maintenance needs.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Previous experience in facilities maintenance, industrial maintenance, building maintenance, or a related field preferred.

• Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building maintenance.

• Ability to troubleshoot problems, determine appropriate corrective action, and complete repairs safely and efficiently.

• Ability to read and understand basic technical documentation, manuals, and schematics.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

• Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a team.

• Good communication and customer-service skills.

• Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, ladders, and other maintenance equipment.

• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and equipment as required by the position.

• Willingness to work occasional overtime or respond to facility needs outside normal hours when required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical training, trade-school education, or relevant apprenticeship experience.

• Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).

• Experience maintaining commercial or industrial facilities.

• HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or other relevant trade certifications.

• Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment.
