What We Do
The Public Works Department provides a variety of services related to the development, construction, inspection, improvement, and maintenance of the Citys infrastructure. Who Were Looking For
The City of Beverly Hills is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Facilities Maintenance Technician to fill multiple vacancies. The incumbents of this position will perform a variety of semi-skilled tasks in the construction, maintenance and repair of municipal buildings, facilities and equipment.

Incumbents are expected to work on projects independently, receiving occasional instruction or assistance as new or unusual situations arise. Positions in this class are fully aware of the operating procedures and policies of the work unit and may also be assigned to act as leader of a small work crew for projects of limited scope and duration.
This class is distinguished from the Lead Facilities Maintenance Technician in that the latter trains, schedules, assists, and reviews the work of skilled and semi-skilled facilities personnel, provides technical and functional supervision over assigned staff, and assists the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor with the day-to-day operations of the unit.
Work Schedule
This position will be assigned a work schedule based on operational needs as determined by the Public Works Director. Potential schedules include 5/40 schedule, 9/80 schedule, and weekend shifts as needed.
