Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, inspect, maintain, and repair HVAC systems including air handlers, split systems, rooftop units, chillers, boilers, and exhaust fans.
  • Monitor system performance and complete diagnostics to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Adjust system controls and perform preventive maintenance to ensure optimal operation and energy efficiency.
  • Respond promptly to service calls related to climate control issues across multiple facilities.
  • Maintain and update maintenance records, service logs, and inspection reports.
  • Ensure HVAC systems are compliant with ASHRAE standards and all applicable local, state, and federal codes.
  • Collaborate with other facilities team members on general building maintenance tasks and emergency repairs.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe, clean, and orderly condition.
  • Support infection control, air quality, and temperature regulation in patient care areas.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation and respond to after-hours emergencies as needed.

Qualifications:

  • HVAC certification (EPA Section 608 Certification required; HVAC journeyman license preferred).
  • Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on HVAC experience, preferably in a healthcare or commercial environment.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC principles, troubleshooting techniques, and control systems.
  • Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
  • Skilled in safe use of HVAC tools and diagnostic equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team with a high attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in confined or elevated spaces.

Education:

  • High school diploma or GED required; vocational training or technical certification in electrical systems strongly preferred.
  • Valid electrician license or journeyman certification (if applicable in your state) preferred.
