JOB TITLE: Facilities Maintenance Technician I

DEPARTMENT: Facilities

JOB SUMMARY:

The Facilities Maintenance Technician I is responsible for performing routine building maintenance tasks for approximately 35 bank offices and properties. This position performs work to include light carpentry, minor electrical, heating and air conditioning maintenance, minor plumbing repair, and occasional fill-in duties for the daily courier service. The Facilities Maintenance Technician I reports to the Facilities Manager and provides excellent service and support to team members and customers while demonstrating the Company's values and supporting the mission.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with inspections, maintenance and repair of all building electrical facilities and systems, heating, ventilation, cooling systems, and plumbing systems. Perform maintenance and repair tasks as appropriate.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot problems with facilities systems
  • Troubleshoot routine maintenance problems, such as structural problems, basic mechanical or other equipment malfunctions and report to supervisor
  • Maintain adequate stock and serviceability of necessary maintenance supplies and equipment
  • Prepare and maintain records on all maintenance activities performed
  • Prioritize proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies
  • Conduct routine facilities maintenance activities to include snow removal
  • Coordinate supplies and set up for special events
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and establishing personal networks
  • Attend training as requested
  • Adhere to compliance with all federal bank regulations and laws, including those for consumer protection and the Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering Program
  • Participate in outside community activities as required
  • Perform other duties as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • 1 year of facilities-related experience preferred
  • Solid knowledge of supplies, equipment, and services ordering and inventory control
  • Able to maintain records for preventive maintenance
  • Solid ability to read, understand, and follow and enforce safety procedures
  • Ability to maintain a cooperative work environment
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of building electrical systems, HVAC systems, plumbing, and water supply systems
  • Basic carpentry, Sheetrocking, painting and door hardware installation skills
  • Skills in organizing resources and establishing priorities
  • Maintain a professional demeanor at all times
