Facilities & Maintenance Technician- Evening Shift

Full-Time | 3:00 p.m. - 11:30 p.m. | Weekend Rotation

Ranken Jordan Pediatric Bridge Hospital is looking for a dependable, hands-on Facilities & Maintenance Technician to join our evening team. This is a great opportunity for someone who likes variety and working with their hands. You'll help with light maintenance and repairs, floor care, room setups, building needs and general facility upkeep.

What You'll Do

Your day could include:

• Handling minor repairs to doors, locks, furniture, plumbing fixtures and wall surfaces
• Replacing light bulbs, ceiling tiles and air filters
• Completing work orders and providing updates on completed projects
• Checking the building for maintenance or safety concerns
• Setting up rooms and moving furniture or equipment
• Performing routine floor care, including sweeping, mopping and auto-scrubbing
• Operating commercial floor-care equipment and assisting with additional floor projects as needed
• Cleaning furniture and upholstery
• Helping with housekeeping or laundry when extra support is needed
• Keeping walkways and parking areas clear of debris, snow and ice
• Responding to facility requests throughout the hospital
• Helping wherever needed to keep the hospital safe, clean and functional

What We're Looking For

You don't need to be an expert in every area. You do need to be dependable, comfortable working with your hands and willing to jump in wherever you're needed.

We're especially interested in candidates who have experience in facilities, building maintenance, floor care, environmental services, custodial work, property maintenance or another hands-on position.

You should be comfortable with:

• Basic maintenance and minor repairs
• Using hand tools safely
• Operating cleaning and floor-care equipment
• Working independently and managing changing priorities
• Following work orders and instructions
• Physical, hands-on work throughout your shift
• Helping with both Facilities and Environmental Services needs
• Working professionally around patients, families and hospital staff
• Showing up consistently and on time

Previous facilities maintenance, environmental services or related experience is preferred. Experience using tools, equipment or floor-care machinery is also preferred.

Floor Care Experience 

Floor care is an important part of this position. We're looking for someone who has experience with commercial floor care or floor equipment, or whose previous facilities/custodial background has included maintaining commercial floors.

Physical Requirements

This is an active job. You'll spend most of your shift on your feet and must be able to perform physical work including lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling 36-50 pounds, along with bending, walking and occasional climbing.
