Facilities Maintenance Technician

Title: Facilities Maintenance Technician

Client: A facilities management company (company name disclosed upon screening call)

Duration: 3 Month contract with possibilities of extension or FTE

Location: Folsom CA 95630

Pay Rate: $29.50/hr (flexible based on experience)

Hours: 8am-4pm (Flexible for Weekends and later shifts, sometimes may start earlier)

Interview Process: 2 Round (1st Virtual, 2nd In-Person, onsite)

Top 3 technical skills – HVAC, Plumbing, Carpentry

Day to Day:

• Perform daily inspections, move gym towels (Mondays), walk labs assess CW equipment, check BMS system, open/close work orders.

Could this role go perm?  If yes what does that pay rate look like at that time?

• Maintenance tech will not go permanent but, there is a potential of Lead Engineering role opening.
• Pay rate is negotiable and based on experience.

Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and building systems
• Respond to maintenance requests and perform repairs in a timely and efficient manner Inspect building and premises for safety hazards and perform necessary maintenance to eliminate such hazards
• Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs and maintenance
• Ensure all maintenance activities are in compliance with company policies and safety standards
• Maintain inventory of supplies and tools needed for repair and maintenance tasks
• Document maintenance and repair work and maintain a log for future reference

Experience Required:

• 2-4 years of experience in building maintenance or a related field

Necessary Skills:

• Proficiency in the use of hand and power tools
• Basic understanding of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems
• Ability to diagnose issues and perform repairs independently
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Physical dexterity and the ability to lift heavy objects and work in various conditions
