Overview:
Herzog Technologies, Inc. is currently seeking a full-time Facilities Maintenance Technician in Fort Worth, TX to join our team.
In this role, you'll help maintain multiple office buildings across our Fort Worth properties, ensuring our facilities remain clean, safe, organized, and operating efficiently. This is a hands-on position that includes routine cleaning, light maintenance, facility upkeep, event support, and other tasks that help create a welcoming environment for employees and visitors.
This is a full-time position offering flexible scheduling based on your availability and business needs, with both morning and evening shifts available.
Duties and Responsibilities:

- Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of multiple office buildings and common areas.
- Clean and sanitize offices, restrooms, kitchens, break rooms, and conference rooms.
- Vacuum, sweep, mop, dust, empty trash, and restock supplies.
- Perform basic facility maintenance, including replacing light bulbs and completing minor repairs.
- Assist with office moves, furniture assembly, and event setup/teardown.
- Monitor building conditions and report maintenance needs.
- Safely operate cleaning equipment and basic hand tools.
- Regular and consistent engagement, participation and promotion of Herzog’s Culture and its essential behaviors are a requirement for this position.
- Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality are a requirement for this position.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous janitorial, facilities, maintenance, or general labor experience preferred.
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and simple maintenance repairs.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent time management and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Customer service mindset with a positive attitude.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities throughout the day.
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
Pre-Employment Requirements:
- Subject to pre-employment background check and motor vehicle report review.
- Subject to pre-employment physical, medical evaluation, and drug screen.
- Successfully complete and maintain any required safety certification and testing on an annual basis.
Physical Requirements:
The physical demands described below must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential job functions of this role. This position will be physically demanding at times. This is a non-exhaustive overview of the physical requirements of this job.
- Able to walk on uneven surfaces.
- Regularly lift weight up to 20 pounds to waist height.
- Work in a confined access/space environment with a width of 24 inches.
- Must be able to adapt to various temperature extremes including but not limited to heat, cold, moisture and wind.
- Able to tolerate repetitive movements: bending and overhead reaching.
- Regularly ascend/descend a platform with a height of up to 12 inches from the floor.
- Occasionally ascend/descend a ladder.
- Regularly ascend/descend stairs.
- Frequently bend, crouch, stand and sit for extended time.
- Must be able to be aware of surroundings and follow verbal commands while being exposed to moderately loud noises on a daily basis.
- Exposure to various chemical cleaners on a daily basis.
- Must successfully pass color/vision examinations as required by the position.
- Must be able to hear and distinguish auditory signals as required by the position.
