Department Summary 

The Hamilton team specializes in facility maintenance and infrastructure modifications to support the evolving demands of Janicki's existing and new projects. Roles and Responsibilities 

The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the manufacturing facilities, grounds, and equipment in good working order. Leads will oversee, direct, and work with the facilities maintenance team on a daily basis, including scheduling and working with the team to complete all projects, maintenance request, and repairs in a timely manner.

  • Maintains a high level of customer service to all entities within the company
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals; a certain degree of creativity and latitude is required
  • Installs drywall, laminate, concrete, and other materials
  • Constructs walls, finishes, and trim    
  • Installs and repairs plumbing, vacuum lines, air lines
  • Maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs mills, compressors, CNC machines, waterjets, ovens, autoclaves, forklifts, and overhead cranes.
  • Communicates with leadership to keep downtime of equipment to a minimum
  • Maintains facility grounds to an orderly standard.  This may include, but is not limited to, using landscaping equipment, seasonal salting/sanding and snow removal of walkways and parking lots.
  • Hardware installation such as door handles, hinges, locks, etc., as well as assembling and moving furniture
  • Orders materials and tooling as needed. As well as maintaining min/max of critical spares.
  • Ability to operate equipment aerial lifts, forklifts, backhoes etc.
  • Adheres to JI Safety, HazMat, and JI Policies
  • Works well both independently, and with others
  • Must work well under pressure, meeting and completing multiple deadlines
  • Maintain reliable attendance and punctuality, which are essential functions of this role
  • Must be at work on time and maintain good attendance. This is a condition of employment and is an essential function of the job
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications 

Due to ITAR and EAR regulations, applicants must be a U.S. Citizen or Legal Permanent Resident as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3). 

  • High school diploma or GED required 
  • Ability to read, interpret, and follow blueprints, isometric drawings, work orders, written procedures, and other technical documentation 
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, follow process instructions, and monitor machine controllers 
  • Consistent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work 
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills in English 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Construction or facilities maintenance experience is
  • Mechanically inclined
  • Positive attitude, works well within a team
  • Good customer service
  • Excited to learn new processes and procedures
  • High level multi-tasking skills

 

Detailed Wage Information 

Wage range for this role is between $20-$46 an hour, plus benefits and eligibility for a discretionary bonus. Employees can also receive additional pay for off-shifts, off-site work and access assignments. The range provided is Janicki's estimate of the base compensation for this role. Actual amount offered will be based on job-related and non-discriminatory factors such as experience, location, education, training, skills and abilities. 

Shift Availability 

Swing Shift – $2.00/hour shift differential 

Weekend Shift - $3.00/hour differential

Hours: 5:00am. – 1:30 p.m., Friday-Monday, 12:00pm – 2230pm Monday-Thursday
