Description

Job Summary:The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the safety, functionality, and overall condition of company facilities, grounds, and equipment. This role performs routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs across building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and structural components. The position also provides cross support to the equipment Maintenance Lead for upkeep and exterior maintenance to ensure operational efficiency and compliance with safety standards.

Pay Range:$24 - $30.00 per hourIn compliance with Hawaii pay transparency expectations, the posted range reflects the anticipated compensation for this role. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, and internal equity.Benefits:

Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on buildings, equipment, and groundsDiagnose and repair issues related to electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and structural systemsRespond promptly to maintenance requests and facility-related emergenciesMaintain exterior areas, including landscaping, snow and ice removal, and general grounds keepingConduct parking lot and pathway maintenance, including sanding and debris removalRepair or update structural components such as doors, windows, walls, and flooringWork with 3rd party contractors where approved to coordinate repairs and updates.Identify and address safety hazards to ensure a safe working environmentAssist with installation, maintenance, and repair of ventilation and refrigeration systemsMaintain tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies in an organized mannerEnsure all work is completed in compliance with company policies and applicable safety regulations

Qualifications:

Working knowledge of building systems including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general constructionBasic carpentry and repair skillsExperience with grounds keeping and exterior maintenance preferredAbility to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues efficientlyStrong attention to detail and commitment to safetyEffective communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and manage multiple prioritiesAbility to pass required background checks, including employer, customer, and/or SIDA backgroundAbility to travel to sites on Lihue, Maui, Kona and Oahu

Physical Requirements:The work requires routine walking, standing, bending, and performing physical labor throughout the shift - both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
