In this role as a Facilities Maintenance Technician, you are a hands-on, safety-focused problem solver who enjoys diagnosing issues, making repairs, and keeping facilities operating efficiently. You manage your time effectively, work well independently or as part of a team, and take pride in seeing diverse facility repair projects through to completion.

You are responsible for maintaining systems to ensure a safe and functional work environment. Your daily tasks include troubleshooting and resolving issues involving electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and building systems, as well as performing scheduled preventive maintenance. You will be an important part of our team that keeps Hydro-Gear going strong. Maintaining reliability in our equipment keeps our coworkers safe and provides our customers with quality products delivered on-time.

Core Responsibilities of our Facilities Maintenance Technician:

  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on facility systems and equipment
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems
  • Respond to facility maintenance requests and work orders in a timely manner
  • Inspect building systems and equipment to identify maintenance needs and potential issues
  • Maintain facility infrastructure to support safe and efficient operations
  • Assist with building improvements, renovations, and facility-related projects
  • Operate tools, equipment, and material handling devices safely and effectively
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
  • Support compliance with safety regulations and facility maintenance procedures
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external contractors to complete maintenance activities

  • High school diploma / GED
  • Associate's degree or vocational trade school certification in building maintenance or industrial technology preferred
  • 2 - 5 years of related experience in facility or building maintenance
