Facilities Maintenance Technician

RESPONSIBILITIES 

● Maintain school grounds and buildings 

● Assist with the grounds' maintenance (trash pickup, cleaning sidewalks, lawn mowing, weeding, etc.) as needed. 

● Perform general maintenance of facilities as needed as directed, with guidance from the Director of Facilities. 

● Assist with monthly inspections of facilities to assess the need for repairs and identify safety issues, communicating findings with the Director of Facilities. 

● Respond to facilities repair requests as needed, utilizing the School’s ticket management system.

● Provide timely and efficient support, set up, and take down of special programs and school events. 

● Maintain a safe work area and school environment throughout campus and in maintenance and custodial areas. 

● Other duties as assigned. 

QUALIFICATIONS 

● Must be knowledgeable and physically able to perform general carpentry, plumbing, painting, and electrical maintenance work on the school campus consisting of multiple buildings. 

● Must possess basic computer competencies and phone applications use. 

● Must be able to interact effectively and efficiently with the school leadership and staff. 

● Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and work independently. 

● Must have and maintain a current Florida Driver’s License. 

● Must pass a Level 2 background check. 

● Ability to lift up to 50lbs safely.
