Facilities Maintenance Technician

The Facilities Maintenance Technician supports the operation of all equipment in a 400,000 sq foot climate-controlled manufacturing center. Responsibilities include: Maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and installation of all production and plant equipment. Diagnose malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, blowers, and lighting fixtures. Installs power supply wiring and conduit for new and existing machinery. Plan, lay out and install a variety of complicated plant or production machinery Assist Director of Facilities, Facilities / Maintenance Lead, Mechanics, and Electricians, as assigned or directed in making general repairs, new installations, and troubleshooting Responsibilities also include assisting mechanics / electricians with general maintenance activities on special projects. Availability for emergency call-in on weekends and after hours for production or plant related emergencies. Follows prescribed safety regulations and procedures. Maintains area and equipment in an orderly manner, reporting unusual conditions to proper supervision. Performs other related duties as assigned or directed. Experience: Hands on experience with facilities maintenance, especially manufacturing Plumbing, electrical, or HVAC experience a plus
