Essential Duties
• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on buildings, utilities, facility infrastructure, including but not limited to HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and other building systems to ensure safe and reliable operation.
• Perform general carpentry, construction, fabrication, painting, equipment installation, renovations, and facility improvement projects to support operational needs.
• Maintain company buildings, grounds, parking lots, sidewalks, fences, drainage systems, and other exterior property through seasonal maintenance activities, including snow and ice removal, mowing, trimming, landscaping, and general grounds upkeep.
• Complete, document, and close preventive and corrective maintenance work orders using the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS), ensuring accurate maintenance records and equipment history.
• Maintain inventories of maintenance parts, tools, equipment, and supplies while ensuring maintenance vehicles, work areas, and shop spaces remain clean, organized, and in safe working conditions.
• Inspect facilities, equipment, and grounds to identify maintenance needs, safety hazards, and opportunities for preventive repairs and continuous improvement.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, testing and diagnostic equipment, forklifts, lifts, tractors, skid steers, mowers, and other equipment required to safely perform maintenance and groundskeeping responsibilities.
• Respond to facility alarms, equipment failures, emergency maintenance requests, and scheduled after-hours, weekend, and holiday call-ins to minimize operational downtime.
• Support Live Production and other company departments by performing miscellaneous maintenance, repairs, equipment installations, facility modifications, and special projects as assigned.
• Coordinate with supervisors, contractors, vendors, and internal departments to ensure maintenance activities are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards.
• Follow all company policies, OSHA regulations, biosecurity standards, duck well-being guidelines, and other applicable safety and regulatory requirements while maintaining a safe work environment.
• Assist the Live Production Department as needed and perform other related duties as assigned.

Job Specifications
Working knowledge of commercial and industrial building maintenance, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and facility systems. Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices, work order systems, maintenance documentation, and safe operation of maintenance equipment. Familiarity with OSHA regulations, company safety policies, biosecurity requirements, and duck well-being guidelines. Valid driver's license required. Experience interacting with internal customers, vendors, and contractors is preferred.

Skills, Abilities, and Education
Education:
High school diploma or GED required. Technical training or coursework in industrial maintenance, HVAC, electrical systems, carpentry, construction, or related trade is preferred.
 

Experience:
1- 3 years of previous experience in industrial, commercial, agricultural, or facilities maintenance is preferred.
 

Technology:
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook along with other Microsoft office programs and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) preferred.
 

Language:
Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English with team members, supervisors, and other departments.
Skills & Abilities:
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair commercial HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and building systems.
• Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, testing equipment, diagnostic equipment, and other maintenance equipment required to perform job responsibilities.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, technical manuals, and maintenance documentation.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to perform carpentry, construction, fabrication, and general building maintenance.
• Ability to prioritize work and complete multiple maintenance tasks in a timely manner.
• Ability to maintain accurate maintenance records, inventory, and work order documentation.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to safely lift a minimum of 50 pounds and perform physically demanding maintenance work.
Working Climate
This position is performed primarily in Live Production facilities and industrial maintenance environments. The role may involve standing, walking, bending, climbing, lifting, and working with production equipment, buildings, utilities, and facility infrastructure.

The position may involve exposure to dust, noise, moving equipment, varying indoor and outdoor temperatures, and other environmental conditions associated with agricultural and industrial operations. Strict adherence to company safety policies, OSHA regulations, biosecurity standards, duck well-being guidelines, and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements are essential.

Position may require after-hours, weekend, holiday, and emergency call-in work to support production operations and maintenance needs.
