The Facilities Maintenance Technician performs maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and inspection activities on facility utility systems and manufacturing equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant operations. This position supports facility operations through preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, equipment inspections, emergency response, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Minimum Level of Job-Related Experience, Knowledge, & Technical Skills Required
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on facility utility systems, including HVAC, compressed air, water systems, pumps, valves, and associated equipment.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and process-related equipment issues.
Execute maintenance work orders and document activities using the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Conduct routine inspections and identify equipment deficiencies requiring repair or replacement.
Support maintenance activities on manufacturing and process equipment as required.
Coordinate and oversee contractors performing maintenance and repair services.
Follow all Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS), Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), and company procedures.
Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and maintenance documentation.
Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and other departments to support facility objectives.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to climb ladders, work in mechanical spaces, and perform physical maintenance activities.
Minimum Level of Job-Related Experience required 0-3 year of directly related manufacturing experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry
The anticipated hourly rate for this position in Maryland is $29.75- $39.67 plus shift differential and annual bonus, when eligible. The final hourly rate offered to a successful candidate may vary, and will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to: the type and length of experience within the job, type and length of experience within the industry, skillset, education, business needs, etc.
