Facilities Maintenance Technician

Brayman Construction Corporation is looking for a skilled and dependable FacilitiesMaintenance Technician to become part of our Machine & Facilities Maintenance team in Saxonburg, PA.

This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment, machinery, buildings, and other facility assets to support safe and efficient daily operations. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with electrical systems, mechanical repairs, and general building maintenance, along with a strong commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship.

We are seeking a self-motivated individual who enjoys solving problems, takes pride in maintaining equipment and facilities, and can work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Location: Saxonburg, PA | Full-Time | Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose electrical issues and complete maintenance repairs on facility systems and equipment.
• Perform mechanical repairs, equipment servicing, and routine maintenance tasks.
• Conduct preventive maintenance inspections to minimize equipment downtime and maintain reliable operations.
• Safely operate shop tools, machinery, and other facility equipment as needed.
• Maintain equipment, buildings, and outdoor areas across company properties.
• Complete general repairs involving carpentry, plumbing, painting, staining, drywall, and other building maintenance needs.
• Identify maintenance concerns, assess repair requirements, and implement appropriate solutions.
• Use digital tools, smartphones, and technical resources to locate service information and troubleshoot equipment problems.
• Document completed work, update maintenance records, and accurately submit work orders and time entries.
• Coordinate with maintenance team members while managing assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
• Maintain compliance with company safety policies and consistently use required personal protective equipment.

Qualifications and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent education.
• Approximately five years of relevant experience in facilities maintenance, electrical work, plumbing, carpentry, mechanical repair, or a comparable trade.
• Familiarity with electrical troubleshooting and basic electrical systems.
• Practical skills in equipment repair, preventive maintenance, and general building upkeep.
• Valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving history.
• Ability to use computers and smartphones for maintenance records, research, and technical reference.
• Capability to interpret equipment manuals, service documentation, and electronic diagnostic information.
• Strong time management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to organize competing priorities.
• Reliable work habits, initiative, and the ability to make sound decisions when working independently.
• Effective communication skills and a cooperative approach to working with others.
• Physical ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Willingness to perform indoor and outdoor work in changing weather and working conditions.

Work Conditions and Safety

The Maintenance Technician will work in an industrial and construction-related setting, with responsibilities that may involve operating near heavy machinery, electrical equipment, elevated surfaces, confined areas, and other potential workplace hazards.

Strict adherence to established safety practices is required. Employees must wear appropriate personal protective equipment, which may include safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and additional protective gear depending on the task.

The regular schedule is generally Monday through Friday; however, occasional schedule adjustments, evening hours, or weekend work may be required to address maintenance priorities and support business operations.
