Facilities Maintenance Technician

DVA has an immediate opening for a Facilities Maintenance Technician 3. This is a fulltime 1st shift position. $28-35 hr plus benefits DOE.

Perform daily, weekly, monthly and seasonal checks of maintenance items;

Perform service and repair of facility items as directed by Facility Maintenance Tech II;

Assist Facility Maintenance Tech II with systems repairs;

Operate manlifts, and other facility equipment as required;

Perform maintenance and repairs on shop tools as required;

Work with minimal supervision to perform all jobs;

Perform work utilizing safe practices and wear all necessary personal protective equipment.

Required Skills:

Must have basic mechanical, plumbing, and electrical experience and tools;

Must have HVAC experience;

Must have good computer skills;

Must be a team player, focused on safety and collaboration with multi-disciplines;

Must communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing; must have a high level of initiative and accountability for actions; must be able to communicate effectively with staff and other employees.
