Typical duties and responsibilities
Routine and preventative maintenance: Performing regular inspections and maintenance on various systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building structures to prevent breakdowns and extend the lifespan of equipment.
Repairs and troubleshooting: Diagnosing problems and making necessary repairs to equipment, fixtures, and building components (e.g., patching walls, fixing appliances, repairing doors and windows).
Emergency response: Responding promptly to and addressing emergency situations such as equipment malfunctions, leaks, power outages, or other incidents that could disrupt operations or pose safety risks.
Safety and compliance: Adhering to safety regulations and codes (e.g., OSHA, EPA, NEC) while performing tasks, and ensuring the facility meets all relevant safety standards.
Qualifications and skills
Technical skills: Proficiency in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems maintenance and repair.
