Description

The City of Burlingame is accepting applications for the position of Facilities Maintenance Worker (Casual/ Temporary/Part-Time).

Under close supervision, the Facilities Maintenance Worker performs skilled work in a variety of trades involving the maintenance and repair of City-owned buildings. Incumbents work both independently and as part of a team.

This is a casual, part-time, temporary position. Work schedules and hours are based on the operational needs of the Facilities Division and may vary.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES (Responsibilities including but not limited to)

Plumbing (repair/replace mixing valves and stems, plunge toilets and use power augers)
Carpentry (constructing shelves, hanging a door)
Electrical (replacing a switch and/or receptacle, changing out a ballast, replacing light bulbs)
Painting (replacing a section of drywall, patching a hole, taping, priming, finish work)
Skilled work in HVAC (changing filters, changing belts, temperature readings, troubleshooting controls and components)
