Performs all general carpentry alterations, maintenance and repairs to the structure, furniture, doors and windows within all facility buildings. Performs skilled work as a Locksmith.

Must successfully complete the required training program within the defined working test period.
Must have the ability to communicate effectively with customers and co-workers.
Ability to read blueprints desired.
Must be mechanically inclined. Must have knowledge of equipment.
Ability to read, follow instructions, and use basic math skills required. In addition, incumbent must be flexible and adapt easily to changes in schedule, work assignments and environment, including working weekends, holidays, and on-call hours.
Constructs and maintains partitions, furniture, doors, ceilings, etc.
Performs general carpentry and/or masonry work on partitions, doors, floors, furniture, etc.
Repairs, hangs and installs all doors (wood or metal). Installs and repairs door hardware (i.e., door closures, hinges and locksets).
Cuts and installs replacement glass in doors, windows, partitions, etc.
Performs preventive maintenance and safety inspections on equipment as scheduled.
Assembles and installs new equipment not addressed by specific trade.
Installs, repairs and maintains cylinder and bit key locks.
Makes or cuts keys for cylinder and bit locks, cabinet locks and padlocks.
Opens locks.
Changes lock combinations, repairs or replaces tumblers, springs, and other related parts.
Keeps records on location of keys for each lock.
Maintains security of duplicate keys.
Installs and repairs door closers, door checks, door knobs, casement operators and door strikes.
Occasionally operates automotive equipment and hauls material.
Estimates material costs and submits requisition for purchase.
Assists with office and equipment moves as needed.
Assists with maintaining of grounds to include: Litter removal, sweeping of sidewalks and driveways, sand and salting and removing snow during inclement weather by use of shovels and powered equipment.
Responds to fire and emergency drills as assigned.
Inspects completed work to ensure compliance with engineering specifications and local building codes.
Performs all work in accordance with ARAMARK, CCMC and regulatory safety procedures and requirements including NFPA, EPA, OSHA, JCAHO, state, county and local agencies.
Attends all department/hospital in-service orientation and other meetings as required.
Displays polite, spirit-of-service attitude towards customers and co-workers. Maintains friendly, efficient and responsive attitude toward client and client's customers/patients while performing job duties.
Willing to interact with co-workers in a team atmosphere in order to help find a better way to perform job.
Performs other duties as required.
