    The Facilities Management and Site Security Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that the infrastructure of Bosch's North America Mobility Aftermarket Headquarters and its Quality and Brake Labs in Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois, is maintained at a level of facilities excellence. The onsite role involves significant partnership with the property owner (and their designated management company) of the over 108K sq ft workplace supporting over four hundred Bosch associates.

    Facilities Management Focused Responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement facility maintenance programs to ensure the safety, functionality, and efficiency of our facilities including responsibility for electrical safety, working with external certified electricians and coordination of new equipment installation and maintenance.
    • Manage day-to-day facilities operations and maintenance including offices, labs, and common areas.
    • Ensure compliance with Bosch standards and regulatory requirements.
    • Partner with HSE and Quality on inspections, audits, gemba walks and corrective actions. Support application and enforcement of Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations including routine inspection of the buildings and grounds on a regular basis (including eyewash, fire extinguisher, exit light, electrical gloves, fire doors drop, arc flash, etc.) and supporting Electrical Safety Programs and Regulations (coordinate with the building management)
    • Oversee building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, security).
    • Support R&D and Quality Lab infrastructure requirements.
    • Coordinate emergency preparedness and business continuity planning.
    • Maintain facility documentation and compliance records.
    • Manage deployment of external vendors including janitorial services, waste disposal, floral and vending services
    • Oversee the renovation and support of existing facilities and manage and coordinate facility projects, including budgeting, scheduling, payment (including department P-card) and resource allocation
    • Interact with internal and external stakeholders regarding space planning, occupancy management, and building drawings
    • Administer required facility, utility, security, licensing, procurement, payment, and reporting processes, including associated records, approvals, audits, and workflow systems.
    • Support the site by conducting facilities activities involving collaboration with external and internal teams (including landlord and their appointed management company) to address issues, completion of required site assessments, management of utilities infrastructure, and collaboration with local governmental agencies including emergency response and preparedness (for example with local fire department, waste management (regulatory inquiry will be the main contact).
    • Ensure the maintenance and proper record-keeping of pool-car fleet.
    • Lead front-office operations, including supervision of the Front Office Coordinator.

    Site Security Focused Responsibilities

    • Administer day-to-day site physical security operations (including card access control, intrusion alarm, key administration, ID issuance, termination process) in accordance with requirements, standards, and governance direction established by the regional Security organization (CAUP-NA).
    • Support data network security and infrastructure activities and programs (coordinate with BD on AV equipment).
    • Conduct or coordinate periodic physical security risk and vulnerability assessments, maintain the NITRO site security concept, and implement and track appropriate risk mitigation measures in coordination with regional GR/SES.
    • Coordinate the site response to physical security incidents, including reporting, documentation, investigation support, escalation, corrective actions, and liaison with regional GR/SES and applicable external authorities.
    • Coordinate the operation, testing, maintenance, and lifecycle planning of physical security and facilities networking systems and devices, including access control, intrusion detection, CCTV, duress alarms, intercoms, and related infrastructure, in collaboration with GR/SES, IT, and approved vendors.
    • Coordinate and maintain alignment with the designated SES Proxy on site security matters, responsibilities, and contingency coverage.

    KNOWLEDGE and CERTIFICATION:

    Required: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Facilities Management, Industrial Engineering or related degree with at least 8 years of relevant experience.

    • Occasional travel to other Bosch locations or offsite conferences, etc. may be required
    • Ensure attendance of all required training, maintain certifications (e.g., CFPO) and membership (ASIS, IFPO) as required.
    • Ability to conduct IT risk assessments and analyses, assess risks, define measures, and create IT emergency and recovery concepts for non-desktop IT equipment.
    • Professional knowledge of current standards in the field of electrical engineering.
    • This is an on-site position requiring regular physical presence at the Oakbrook Terrace facility to support facilities operations, site security, vendor coordination, emergency response, and associate needs. Remote work may be permitted only on an occasional basis with management approval.
