We're partnering with a growing retailer with 30+ locations to hire a Facilities Manager who will oversee facilities operations across a national portfolio of retail stores and corporate offices.

This person will be responsible for both day-to-day maintenance and the longer-term strategy behind the company's facilities program. The role will manage preventative maintenance, reactive repairs, vendor performance, capital planning, and facilities spending while helping reduce downtime and improve the overall experience for store teams and customers.

This position is based in Dallas and will require approximately 20-30% national travel across the company's portfolio.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Manage maintenance and repair activity across a multi-site retail portfolio
  • Prioritize work orders based on urgency, operational impact, and business needs
  • Oversee national, regional, and local service vendors
  • Track vendor response times, service quality, SLA performance, and costs
  • Develop and maintain preventative maintenance programs
  • Support major building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, roofing, fire/life safety, lighting, security, and dock equipment
  • Identify aging equipment and help build annual capital replacement plans
  • Review repair invoices and monitor facilities spending against budget
  • Negotiate service agreements and identify opportunities for vendor consolidation and cost savings
  • Partner closely with Store Operations, Real Estate, Construction, Procurement, and Finance
  • Use work order and facilities data to identify trends, recurring issues, and opportunities for improvement
  • Help ensure compliance with OSHA, ADA, fire/life safety, building code, and insurance requirements

The ideal candidate will bring 5-8+ years of facilities experience supporting a multi-site retail, restaurant, grocery, hospitality, distribution, or similar environment. Experience managing outsourced vendors, capital projects, budgets, and CMMS platforms is strongly preferred.
