JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Facilities Manager Manufacturing is responsible for overseeing the maintenance of the operations of our manufacturing plant. Responsible for ensuring the facilities are well-maintained, safe, and efficient, and managing all aspects of facility operations, including maintenance, security, and compliance with safety regulations.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules and preventive maintenance programs that align with the companys long-term goals and objectives.

  • Lead, manage, and mentor facilities teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture through direction, support, and professional development opportunities.

  • Reports to senior management and key stakeholders to ensure alignment and support for project initiatives.

  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks to ensure project success and continuity.

  • Manage budgets and expenses related to facility maintenance and improvement projects.

  • Plan and execute capital improvement projects to enhance efficiency, productivity, and safety.

  • Optimize the allocation of resources, including personnel, equipment, and budget, to maximize project efficiency.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project management processes and methodologies.

  • Ensure all projects comply with industry regulations, safety standards, and quality requirements; collaborate with Environmental Health and Safety.

  • Coordinate with other departments to minimize downtime and ensure efficient operations

  • Procure necessary parts and supplies for maintenance and repairs.

  • Develop and implement emergency response and business continuity plans to ensure the safety and security of the facility.

  • Maintain reliable and consistent attendance, including being punctual, and dependable in order to meet the needs of the department and the organization.

  • Execute each essential duty satisfactorily in order to perform job successfully.

  • Follows all safety procedures required in work area, wears PPE as needed, attends all safety meetings, and reports safety issues regarding equipment or unsafe/hazardous conditions.

  • Performs effectively as a team member, able to work well with others, open to receive and give feedback, and treats everyone with respect.

  • Takes ownership of own work and behavior, accepts accountability for own actions, encourages solutions, and communicates status of work/projects.

  • Follow all department quality standards/criteria. Raise concerns and issues to immediate manager.

  • Able to understand and demonstrate Cambro company culture, display company core values (Safety, Quality, Respect, and Service).

  • Understands departments key performance indicators and contributes to achieve these goals both individually and as a team.

  • Other duties as needed or required.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Handle emergency response and first aid situations.

  • Must be able to work overtime as needed, remain flexible and open to possible schedule changes in order to meet business needs.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors degree (B.A.) from a four-year accredited college or university and 5 to 8 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of training, education, and experience in Engineering, Facility Management, or a manufacturing environment.

  • Strong understanding of facilities management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

  • Knowledge of plastic processing equipment such as Cooling Towers, Central Chillers, and Air Compressors

  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

  • Ability to adapt and adjust plans to meet changing needs.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and facility/ Asset management software and tools.

  • Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, and mechanical.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bilingual in Spanish.

  • Proficient and recent experience with AS400.

Manager Operations

COMPENSATION RANGE:

$85,000 - $110,000

Salary may vary based on experience.
