As the Facilities Manager at the Golf Club at Newcastle, you will have overall responsibility for upkeep and routine building maintenance at your property under the direction of General Manager (GM) and/or Facilities Manager. You will partner with department leaders and conduct all general maintenance of the property including, but not limited to, preventative maintenance on clubhouse-related equipment (HVAC, refrigeration, boilers, fixtures, etc.), performing minor repairs (electrical, plumbing, carpentry) and general custodial duties (carpet cleaning, window washing, power washing, etc.). Your overall goal is to ensure the safe and proper working order of all areas; meeting and/or exceeding product quality standards.\n \nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\n \nEnsures the building\u2019s physical, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems are maintained to the highest possible standards. \nBrings new ideas and technology to the GM to ensure the building runs as efficiently as possible. \nManages department's controllable expenses to achieve or exceed budgeted goals. \nSelect and order or purchase new equipment, supplies, and furnishings. \nManage facilities team including recruiting, training, scheduling, and managing performance \nResponsible to build and stay within budgets \nProcesses payroll and schedules for all facilities staff \nResponsible for ensuring the building equipment licensing and permits are always up to date \nEnsure the security, cleanliness, preventive maintenance, and repair of all facilities department tools, equipment, and safety features are in accordance with established procedures and budgets. \nCommunicate both written and verbally with residents, guests, and contractors in a professional manner. \nCompletes work orders in a timely and professional manner. \nMust be able to communicate, and address issues or concerns, in a prompt and efficient manner. \nComplete annual OSHA & Safety training, as required. \nMay provide oversight over multiple properties through task-forcing opportunities. \nOther tasks as assigned.\n \nQUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:\n \nHigh school diploma or GED; 4 years experience in engineering and maintenance or related professional area; technical training in HVAC-R/electrical/plumbing.\n \nOR\n \n2-year degree from an accredited university in Building and Construction, Engineering, Mechanics, or related major; 2 years experience in engineering and maintenance or related professional area; technical training in HVAC-R/electrical/plumbing.\n \nWORK ENVIRONMENT: \nThe work environment characteristics described here represent those a team member encounters while performing the essential functions of this position.
