POSITION TITLE: Facilities Manager DEPARTMENT: General Services DIVISION: Facilities Management SALARY: Negotiable CLOSING: Until filled Job Summary/Scope Plans, directs, coordinates, and manages the operation, maintenance, repair, and improvement of all City-owned facilities. Responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive preventative maintenance programs, supervising facility maintenance personnel assigned throughout City departments, managing facility-related contracts and budgets, and ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operation of municipal buildings and associated infrastructure. Provides leadership in strategic facility planning, asset management, regulatory compliance, and capital improvement recommendations to maximize the useful life of City assets while providing exceptional service to internal departments and the public. Material and Equipment Directly Used Computer, tablet, City vehicle, communication equipment, measuring devices, ladders, hand tools, power tools, testing equipment, and various facility maintenance equipment. Working Environment/Physical Requirements Work is performed in both office and field environments. Requires frequent inspections of City facilities, including rooftops, mechanical rooms, crawl spaces, construction sites, and outdoor locations. Exposure to varying weather conditions, noise, dust, construction activities, and mechanical equipment. Must be able to stand, walk, climb stairs and ladders, bend, stoop, and occasionally lift up to 40 pounds. May be required to respond after normal business hours during emergencies. Education
