Why We Need Your Talents:

The Facilities Mechanic is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of all exterior areas throughout the property to ensure a well‑kept and welcoming environment for guests and Team Members. This role plays a critical part in preserving the operational integrity of the grounds by performing routine landscaping, debris removal, and equipment operation in accordance with established standards. Your commitment to maintaining orderly, hazard‑free outdoor spaces supports guest satisfaction, protects company assets, and upholds the high level of quality associated with Live! Casino & Hotel.

Shift:Day 7:00am-4:00pm

Responsibilities

Where You''ll Make an Impact:

• Responsible for cutting, weeding, and edging the grass, raking the leaves, and sweeping the parking lots, and garage.
• Responsible for planting, removing, and relocating plants, flowers, trees, and bushes.
• Removing all trash and debris from parking lot areas and grounds. Emptying trash containers.
• Operate and maintain equipment such as trucks, utility vehicles, pavement sweepers and scrubbers, pressure washers, litter vacuums, etc.
• Responsible for ensuring all signs, posts, and chain fences are straight and secure.
• Responsible to ensure all outside areas are clean, orderly, safe, and are at the highest level of maintenance at all times.
• Must be available for weather events such as snow removal or other storms.
• May be called upon and assigned from time to time to assist with internal logistics and maintenance.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Must-Haves:

• A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Zero (0) to two (2) years' experience with grounds keeping and or outdoor maintenance of a commercial property/facility.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license as determined by the Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Agency.

Physical Requirements:

• Lift and or push up to 80 lbs.
• Standing for up to 4 hours at a time.
• Work in small, confined areas.
• Frequent bending at the waist.
• Use of stairs and elevators

Working Conditions:

• 24/7 high energy casino with over 300,000 sq. ft of gaming and entertainment space and approximately 3000 employees
• Exposed to alcohol, cigarette and cigar smoke, bright lights, and loud noises.
• You will work in an environment where smoking is allowed.
