An established nonprofit organization is seeking a Facilities Operations Manager in Brooklyn, NY to support day-to-day facilities operations across multiple sites. This role is responsible for coordinating maintenance, vendor activity, compliance, and facility-related issues in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
About the Opportunity:
- Shift: Day shift
- Schedule: Monday through Friday
- Hours: 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
- Setting: On-site/field
Responsibilities:
- Oversee facilities operations across multiple properties and respond to site needs as they arise
- Coordinate vendors for repairs, maintenance, and service requests
- Monitor building systems, site issues, and preventive maintenance activities
- Track work orders, asset details, and maintenance records in a facilities management system
- Support compliance efforts, inspections, and resolution of facility-related deficiencies
Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of progressive facilities or operations experience
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience coordinating repairs, maintenance, vendors, and contracts
- Working knowledge of building systems, safety standards, and general building trades
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook and Excel
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction
Desired Skills:
- Bachelor's degree
- FDNY COF F-89 certification
- Experience with TheWorxHub or a similar facilities management system
- Experience supporting nonprofit, healthcare, or supportive housing environments
- Experience working across multiple boroughs or sites
