Facilities Opportunities for Mechanic & Plumber

Job Summary:

Our Facilities Department is hiring for a Mechanic & Plumber, shift 2:

 

Mechanic:  Performs without assistance the troubleshooting of complex hospital systems including elevator recalls and general maintenance/repairs, and has a working knowledge and understanding of multiple skilled trades relevant to healthcare industry.

 

Plumber:

Performs preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and routine inspections on all plumbing related systems, installs and repairs copper, cast iron, and polypropylene systems, and aids in the inspection and constructive critique of installations made by vendors.

 

Required Qualifications:

Mechanic:  

- Require three (3) years of experience, preferably in large plant operations.
- Require knowledge of materials, lubricants, hydraulics, pneumatics, and gear/belt drives.
- Require the ability to read/understand prints/diagrams for buildings and equipment.

 

Plumber:

- Require three (3) years of experience as a plumber preferably in large plant operations.
- Require knowledge of complex plumbing installations and repairs with working and technical knowledge of equipment specific to the trade.
- Require the ability to read and follow construction drawings/prints.
- Require the ability to read/understand prints/diagrams for buildings and equipment.
