Facilities & Production Support Specialist

Position Summary: The Facilities & Production Support Specialist plays a key role in maintaining efficient operation of the automated dispensing system and facility infrastructure. This position is responsible for supporting the day-to-day functionality of production line equipment and performing a variety of skilled and semi-skilled maintenance tasks across building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general repairs. The role also includes resolving hardware, software, and technical issues to support continuous workflow on the production floor.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Respond to maintenance work orders, conduct preventative maintenance checks, and coordinate with outside contractors when necessary
  • Serve as the primary liaison between Facilities and Pharmacy Operations to align facility and system support with pharmacy production goals.
  • Assist with and support projects related to the setup, automation, and readiness of new production and pharmacy facilities.
  • Monitor production floor and fulfillment equipment and identify opportunities for efficiency and process improvements Perform routine and preventive maintenance in accordance with vendor specifications and internal schedules. Develop, document, and maintain a preventive maintenance program for equipment and building systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to production line software, hardware, and automated equipment.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to complete repairs and maintenance projects. Inspect building systems and equipment regularly to identify and address potential problems.
  • Support the Facilities Manager with general building maintenance and operational tasks.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Working knowledge of building codes and safety procedures.
  • Experience with troubleshooting and supporting production equipment, hardware, and basic technical systems.
  • Ability to follow safety protocols and interpret basic technical manuals and maintenance schedules.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Education/Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Experience ensuring proper operation and maintenance of automated equipment and technologies
  • Have or obtain Licensed Pharmacy Technician license
  • 2–4 years of experience in facilities maintenance, production line support, or equipment repair in a manufacturing, warehouse, or healthcare-related environment
  • Experience with automated systems, mechanical troubleshooting, and basic IT hardware/software support strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with building codes, safety regulations, and preventive maintenance programs is a plus

Preferred Skill/Abilities:

  • Prior experience in Retail, Mail Order of Specialty Pharmacy is preferred
  • · Experience or knowledge of Building Automations Systems.
  • · Experience or knowledge of Building Management Systems.
  • Prior experience in Maintenance industry
  • Experience with badge/security systems such as Verkada, Win-Pak preferred.

Work Environment/Physical Requirements:

  • Production/warehouse environment, with exposure to some noise and machinery.
  • Ability to sit and stand for prolonged periods of time.
  • Ability to lift, pull, push containers up to 50 pounds and manipulate equipment which requires strength, gross motor and fine motor coordination
