Description:

CTG’s long-standing Fortune 500 client of over 15 years is seeking a Facilities Project Lead III for a contract opportunity. This role is ideal for an experienced engineering project leader with strong capital project management, facilities infrastructure, and cross-functional leadership experience.

Job Title: Facilities Project Lead III
Location: Corning, NY
Candidates must be able to commute and work onsite in Corning, NY
Pay Rate: Based on experience
Work Hours: M-F 8am-5pm
Education: BS degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or equivalent engineering discipline required; MS degree preferred 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead capital projects, facility renovations, infrastructure upgrades, and process improvement initiatives
  • Manage projects through initiation, planning, execution, and closeout
  • Develop project scopes, schedules, estimates, budgets, and business case documentation
  • Coordinate with engineering teams, facility leadership, contractors, and EPCM partners
  • Present project financials, status updates, and recommendations to leadership
  • Apply structured problem-solving methodologies to technical and operational challenges
  • Oversee multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring quality, cost, and schedule objectives are met
  • Support equipment installation, commissioning, and facility improvement activities

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 5+ years of engineering and project leadership experience
  • Strong experience with project estimating, scheduling, and cost control
  • Excellent communication, presentation, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Experience applying structured problem-solving methods such as PMBOK, DMAIC, or Kepner-Tregoe
  • Ability to work onsite and collaborate across cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMI or Professional Engineering (PE) certification
  • Experience with facility operations, design, or infrastructure projects
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Excel, SharePoint, and related collaboration tools
  • Experience with equipment installation and commissioning
