About the Position
Plan and execute various plantwide construction and other projects including roofing repairs, as directed by the Manager Facilities Engineering. Maintain CAPEX planning and budgeting. Manage Outage schedules and budgets.
Main Responsibilities
- Enforce safety procedures and safe work practices to ensure the health and safety of personnel and contractors in the performance of assigned work.
- Develop and maintain major outage schedules and budgets.
- Maintain plantwide roofing systems and any other projects and activities assigned by the Manager.
- Participate in the development and execution of various continuous improvement projects.
Education, Experience, and Competencies
Required:
Experience working with multiple contractors to execute construction activities.
MS Office proficiency including MS project.
High school diploma or GED.
Excellent reading, writing, and verbal communication skills.
Preferred:
- 10 yrs experience in maintenance and/or project management in heavy industry.
Position Type - Work Hours - Travel Requirements
- Position is full time, exempt.
- Position works an eight (8) hour day shift, Monday through Friday and at other times as needed to manage breakdowns and other work including projects.
- Travel for this position is expected to comprise less than 10% of work hours
- Position has supervisory responsibilities for construction contractors.

- Alternate sitting and standing as needed

The employee will work in the following conditions:
