Shape What’s Next in Packaging — As Our Facilities Reliability and Utilities Technician

Imagine starting your day at a company that touches everyday life across foodservice, grocery, retail, industrial, and more. At Novolex, we manufacture food, beverage, and specialty packaging across a wide spectrum of substrates — from resin and paper to molded fiber and aluminum — delivering 120 product categories, 250 brands, and over 39,000 SKUs.

Our sustainability vision centers on three pillars — our products, operations, and people. These pillars guide our actions and fuel ambitious, enterprise-wide initiatives.

A Day in the Life (6:30am – 3:00pm, Monday–Friday)

You’ll move through the facility ensuring building systems are safe, reliable, and compliant with local, state, and federal requirements. Your morning may begin by assisting maintenance with cleaning and de-greasing key equipment, then shifting to hands-on utility support using scissor and articulating lifts. Throughout the day, you’ll put hand tools to work for small mechanical fixes, all while following lockout/tagout procedures and wearing the correct PPE. You’ll often operate independently, prioritizing tasks and documenting work as you go.

What You’ll Tackle

  • Support facility upkeep to maintain safe, compliant buildings and equipment.
  • Assist with cleaning and de-greasing production equipment to improve performance.
  • Operate scissor and articulating lifts to access elevated work areas.
  • Use hand tools to perform light mechanical repairs and adjustments.
  • Apply lockout/tagout instructions without exception to safeguard yourself and others.
  • Work effectively with minimal supervision while wearing proper PPE at all times.

What You Bring

  • Completion of pre-employment assessments (required).
  • At least 1 year of manufacturing experience preferred.

Benefits & Well-Being

Safety and well-being lead everything we do. We offer competitive, comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage plus a range of resources to support mental, physical, and financial health. Programs may vary by location.

Community Involvement

We give back where we live and work. Through our Focused Giving Program, we support organizations advancing sustainability and addressing food and hunger needs, alongside site-level volunteer initiatives.

Growth, Training & Development

We invest in your future with continual advancement opportunities. From MyLearning courses and industry training to Tuition Reimbursement (Non-Union) and a robust Learning Management System, you’ll have tools to build skills at every level.
