Do these challenges sound like you?
- Can you spot a worn belt before it fails?
- Do you stay cool troubleshooting in Alabama heat and humidity from April through September?
- Are you comfortable taking direction from licensed leads while working near high-density electrical and mechanical systems?
- Do you keep meticulous logs and follow checklists without missing a step?
If you answered yes, you’ll thrive here. You’ll be the hands-on force that keeps containerized infrastructure operating at its best. This is not a licensed-trade role—you’ll execute work under guidance from subject-matter experts and licensed leads.
Why this role matters
Our Power Distribution Container, IT Container, Chiller Station Container, and Diesel Generator Container depend on consistent preventive care and precise execution. Your fieldwork protects uptime and ensures safe operations—even in confined spaces and under supervision near energized equipment.
What you’ll tackle
- Preventive maintenance rounds: inspect, log, and report equipment status
- Mechanical fixes: swap belts and bearings, change filters, and address fittings
- Basic plumbing: assemble pipe fittings, operate valves, and fix minor leaks
- Facility care: maintain doors, seals, enclosures, lighting, and drainage
- Consumables and spares: manage filters, fluids, gaskets, and inventory
- Chilled water support: assist lead on system tasks
- Pumps and motors: check health, verify fluids, and flag visible faults
- Procedural discipline: read and follow written maintenance procedures and checklists
- HVAC basics: replace filters, assess coils, and confirm airflow
- Electrical assistance: support licensed lead on assigned tasks
- Safety first: PPE awareness and LOTO support around energized equipment
- Electrical familiarity: read panel labels, identify breakers, and log readings
Experience to succeed
- 3+ years of hands-on general maintenance or multicraft experience in commercial, industrial, or facilities environments
- Preferred: cross-discipline exposure (e.g., mechanical and electrical, or HVAC support and facilities)
