Description: Carroll College is seeking a skilled and motivated professional to serve as a Facilities Services Supervisor - Grounds. This position is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, repair, and operation of grounds and facilities equipment while supporting the safety, appearance, and functionality of campus grounds and infrastructure. The successful candidate will perform advanced mechanical maintenance, industrial equipment repair, welding, metal fabrication, and preventive maintenance on a variety of equipment and systems.The position plays a critical role in maintaining campus landscapes and infrastructure, including turf, trees, shrubs, flowers, irrigation systems, roads, sidewalks, and parking areas. Responsibilities include installing and maintaining landscape and irrigation projects, applying pesticides and herbicides in accordance with applicable regulations, and participating in snow and ice removal operations to ensure safe campus access throughout the year.In addition to grounds maintenance duties, the incumbent will inspect, diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, irrigation, and industrial systems. This work includes performing preventive maintenance, operating diagnostic equipment, repairing machinery and equipment, ordering parts and supplies, maintaining maintenance records, and ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently. The position also requires welding, metal fabrication, and the modification or construction of equipment components and related infrastructure as needed.This role serves as a lead worker within Grounds operations and may act on behalf of the Director of Grounds when assigned. The incumbent will train, direct, and oversee student employees and staff assisting with grounds projects, equipment operations, maintenance activities, and snow removal efforts. Strong leadership, organizational skills, and a commitment to safety are essential. Qualifications: The successful candidate will have a High school diploma or G.E.D. and 1 year of grounds or maintenance related experience.Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without the need for employer sponsorship now or in the future.
