The Facilities Specialist (temp) will be responsible for supporting the Sphere Studios Office Services Team with the day-to-day operations of Sphere Studios' Los Angeles production studios. This includes general office services, equipment maintenance, and administrative duties across multiple sites. The Facilities Specialist should have experience working in a cross-functional capacity delivering results in a fast-paced environment. This position will support core internal partners in day-to-day site needs, as well as specialized technical projects. This temporary role is paid weekly.
Specific Functions/Activities
Maintain up-to-date records for compliance with all State, Federal, and insurance inspections and relevant regulations.
Coordinate with and support all outside service vendors, including Janitorial, HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Painting, Security, Utilities, etc.
Perform routine facility inspections to identify maintenance needs, safety concerns, and operational issues, ensuring timely resolution.
Familiarity with commercial office facility maintenance standards, including preventive maintenance planning and execution.
Act as the central liaison for shipping and receiving, ensuring efficient logistics management and delivery operations.
Serve as primary contact for unique & reoccurring visitor/vendor access and new employee access.
Assist in the maintenance of pantry/office supplies and First Aid cabinets, conduct daily rounds to replace stock and keep track of inventory and re-order as needed.
Provide exceptional experiences for our guests, partners, and team members, including by adhering to our appearance and presentation guidelines while on-site.
Qualifications
3+ years of experience in facility operations or facility services
Excellent interpersonal & professional skills, including effective verbal and written communication
Strong organizational skills, and the ability to efficiently handle and prioritize multiple tasks with accuracy
Self-starter with a strong sense of personal initiative; responsible, reliable, and dependable with strong follow-through
Must be a team player, able to coordinate and collaborate across the organization
