Job Title: Facilities Staff Classification: Non-Exempt
Reports to: Director of Facilities and Operations
Overview
This is a full-time, twelve (12) month position. This position is responsible for the overall upkeep, repair, maintenance, and utilization of all school facilities, property, equipment, and athletic venues. The Facilities Staff is expected to assist Hebron Christian Academy in achieving its mission. A commitment to excellence and unparalleled customer service is needed and is the expectation of all Hebron employees.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required. Two years of facility experience in a school setting preferred.

- Ability to follow instructions from the Assistant Director of Athletic Venues and complete assignments.
- General knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC.
Buildings and Grounds - Maintains a state of cleanliness, attractiveness of the buildings and grounds.
- Opens and closes all school campuses (includes having the facilities clean and operable each morning).
- Cleans and assists with upkeep of the facilities.
- Sets up and takes down lunchroom tables, chairs, etc., and cleans up after each event.
- Handles the set up and tear down of school-sponsored events which includes chapel, award ceremonies, open house, assemblies, programs, graduation, athletic, advancement, fine arts, etc., on a daily, weekly, or as needed basis.
- Sets up and assists with daily carpool traffic on all campuses.
- Troubleshoots issues to determine necessary repairs.
- Assists with general construction projects in a safe manner using various hand and power tools.
- Uses and wears safety and/or protective equipment, as appropriate.
- Installs various equipment in each classroom prior to the first day of preplanning.
- Performs general repairs that do not require a specialized technician (i.e., repairing drywall, painting, furniture, ceiling and floor tiles, ballasts, and repairing doors and other building fixtures).
- Assists other members of the Facilities Team to ensure the safest and cleanest environment possible for HCA students, staff, faculty, and visitors.

Physical Requirements - Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and walking throughout facilities.
- Must be physically able to operate power equipment, climb ladders, bend, stretch, push, pull, kneel, or crawl into awkward spaces.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times.
- Must be able to perform work in a variety of weather conditions.
