SUMMARY: Working with the facilities team, performs a variety of tasks in the repair, servicing and general maintenance of the school physical plant and equipment. Extended knowledge of MEPs is required, along with a willingness to support the team in day-to-day activities as needed.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or equivalent and 5+ years of experience with general buildings and grounds maintenance are required. Must possess a well-rounded background in facilities maintenance-related tasks and have a willingness to grow and expand knowledge base.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to see color to discern color-coded wiring, engage in prolonged periods standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing ladders or scaffolding; must be able to safely lift up to 50 pounds at a time.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret written documents, professional literature, and other material. Ability to write reports and letters. TECHNICAL SKILLS: High comfort level and proficiency with technology as a tool. Ability to use simple tools and machines, such as copiers and laminators. Ability to use computers to write reports, compose letters and emails, create documents, and communicate with parents.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and apply common sense and good judgment in dealing with everyday and emergency situations. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions.
