THE ROLE 

The Truth is looking for a part-time Facilities Supervisor who will be responsible for the overall facilities within the venue, including repairs, upkeep, exterior cleanliness, painting, etc. Working with and reporting directly to the Facilities Manager, oversight and deployment of Facilities Staff day of show (DOS), collaborating with other department leads, developing and enforcing adherence to venue policy and procedure, ensuring the venue remains clean, safe, and operational for guests, staff, and artists including overall state of both inside and outside of the venue. 

 

 

WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO 

  • Works directly with the Facilities Manager to perform day to day operations of the venue, as well as, day of show duties 

  • Schedule Facilities staff for shows, events, and regular business hours  

  • Coordinate ongoing maintenance needs, including repairing chairs, painting, and other facility projects assigned by the Facilities Manager. Plan daily work lists for Facilities Staff 

  • Coordinate with the venue's contracted cleaning partner to ensure cleaning services are executed efficiently, venue standards are maintained, and operational needs are met before, during, and after events 

  • Work through and correct guest/co-workers concerns and complaints regarding maintenance related issues 

  • Perform opening/running/closing duties 

  • Maintain line of sight/atmosphere control by circulating through work area and reporting any issues encountered 

  • Keep current on all Standard Operating Procedures and be able to effectively communicate them to team members 

  • Purchases, re-orders and maintains adequate supplies and inventory of facility supplies including but not limited to (Toilet Paper, Paper Towels, Soap, Towels, Light Bulbs, Batteries, Paint, Gaff Tape, etc.) 

  • Create pre-show/show/post show duties and relay information from management directly to Facilities Staff 

  • Assist with maintaining the Plaza / Exterior of the venue. (maintaining cleanliness of outdoor Plaza, keeping planters free of debris, loading dock areas tidy, etc.)  

  • Use a variety of hand and power tools to help perform duties as needed  

  • Responsible for maintaining a fun, friendly, and safe environment throughout the venue; uphold venue policies and escalate concerns to appropriate members of the management team in a timely manner 

  • Fosters positive experiences for guests, staff, and other stakeholders in a manner that establishes the venue as a safe, enjoyable, and supportive environment 

  • Partner with fellow staff members at the end of show to close the venue- this may include collecting recyclables or trash from the venue, picking up and properly storing event equipment such as chairs, barricade, Etc.  

  

WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING 

Required:  

  • Working knowledge of high-volume/high-stress operations 

  • Skills in guest relations/staff relations- Assessing and anticipating needs of guests/co-workers 

  • Prioritization of duties and effective communication skills 

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks/issues at one time effectively, with an upbeat attitude  

  • Read guests in order to anticipate their needs 

  • Turn potentially negative situations into positive ones  

  • Communicate well with team members and managers and foster an atmosphere of unity and camaraderie  

  • High School Diploma  

Preferred:  

  • Experience in a live music environment 

  • Minimum of 2 years supervisor experience 

  • Understanding of all trades (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.) 

  • Attention to detail and organizational skills 

Physical Demands/Working Environment: 

  • Working environment is fast-paced, often loud and stressful 

  • Position requires extended periods of prolonged standing, working on your feet, and different weather conditions 

  • Must be able to lift or move up to 40 lbs using proper lifting techniques
