As a Facilities Specialist, you'll play a key role in ensuring our environments reflect excellence, safety, and care. Your expertise in maintenance operations and proactive problem-solving helps keep our branches running smoothly while supporting organizational efficiency and employee success.
What You'll Do (Your Impact)
- Maintain credit union facilities to ensure a clean, safe, and professional environment for members and employees.
- Perform preventative and routine maintenance across multiple systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and building equipment.
- Respond to and prioritize maintenance requests, including life safety, mechanical systems, and general repairs.
- Diagnose and address facility issues proactively to improve overall building performance and appearance.
- Complete daily work tickets, including light electrical, plumbing, carpentry, lighting, and finish work.
- Utilize preventative maintenance programs to plan and prioritize work effectively.
- Conduct inventory of materials and supplies, ensuring readiness for ongoing and upcoming projects.
- Inspect landscaping and coordinate or perform basic upkeep as needed.
- Transport materials and supplies safely between locations.
- Lead and support in-house maintenance and improvement projects.
- Mentor and train Facilities Support Technicians, sharing knowledge and best practices.
What You Bring
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Four or more years of experience in general maintenance, facilities, or a related trade (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Strong working knowledge across multiple maintenance disciplines, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, locksmithing, and building systems.
- Ability to estimate materials, supplies, and project needs accurately.
- Experience working with small motors and light machinery (e.g., snow blowers, lawn tools).
- Valid driver's license.
- Strong communication skills to interact professionally with employees and members.
- Ability to work independently, follow direction, and manage priorities with minimal supervision.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and task management skills.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is required to sit, stand, walk, stoop, crawl, climb, and use hands and fingers. The employee regularly must reach above and below shoulder level and lift, push, pull, and/or carry up to 100 pounds.
Environmental/Working Conditions
Work is performed both indoors and outdoors. The role may involve exposure to environmental elements such as inclement weather, dust, noise, chemicals, and fumes. Travel to branches requires exposure to outdoor and traffic conditions. Occasional on-call, after-hours work, and local travel may be required.
Equipment Used
A variety of tools and equipment, including office equipment (telephone, printer, PC, mobile devices), cleaning equipment, snow removal tools, hand and power tools, ladders, and material handling equipment.
