Position Summary:
This role supports the daily operations and maintenance of the Student Union Building in a fun, fast-paced, student-centered environment, reporting to Student Facilities Technician Manager. Facilities Technicians assist with the facility's upkeep and operations by completing work orders and tasks assigned by the Facilities Operations Manager. This position works closely with the operations team and custodial team when completing work orders to ensure the Student Union is a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and the community. They work as a team to respond to the needs of the facility, fix minor maintenance issues, and help ensure spaces are ready for events and meetings taking place in the building. Student Facilities Technicians also assist in servicing retail locations across campus (i.e. La Posada Dining Hall, Dane Smith Hall, Collaborative Teaching and Learning Building, Student Residence Center, and South Campus Golf Course), completing work orders and troubleshooting minor maintenance issues. This position also assists with setup/tear-down of large events as needed to assist Operations staff.

The SUB is looking for a candidate available to start SUMMER 2026 and that can work between 15-28 hours/week.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform routine facility checks.
Responsible for basic maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, repairing fixtures, moving heavy equipment, etc.
Ability to lift, push, pull, and manipulate at least 30lbs.
Ability to work collaboratively as a team.
Ability to work independently as needed.
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
Assist Operations team as needed.
Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
