Position Summary:

Alcatraz Cruises is looking for a Facilities Technician to join our Maintenance department. The applicant must have experience using hand and power tools, including grinders, skill saws, power saws, drill guns, saws, hammers, digging tools, and other construction and maintenance equipment. The ability to safely operate and maintain tools and equipment is required.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform daily inspections of facilities, equipment, and work areas to identify maintenance, safety, and repair needs.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and company vehicles.
• Perform prep work and painting using single-part, two-part, and latex paint systems.
• Complete basic carpentry, including framing, drywall installation and repair, doors, windows, baseboards, and molding.
• Perform basic masonry work, including concrete, tile, grout, and stone repairs.
• Maintain building infrastructure, including basic plumbing, sewage, and electrical repairs.
• Operate and use a variety of hand and power tools to complete maintenance, repair, fabrication, and installation projects.
• Perform boat maintenance, cleaning, and vessel sanitization using approved products.
• Pump waste systems and assist with the handling and disposal of waste in accordance with company procedures.
• Replace light bulbs, assist with recycling, trash removal, furniture moving, and loading and unloading materials and equipment.
• Clean bathrooms, replenish supplies, empty garbage bins, and sweep, vacuum, mop, and maintain interior and exterior work areas.
• Gather materials and supplies needed to complete assigned jobs and independently manage small projects.
• Perform basic landscaping and plant maintenance as assigned.
• Sweeps, vacuums, mops, power washes.
• Communicates to management when equipment is not working.
• Performs all duties of the Facilities Agent, including janitorial work.
• Performs boat maintenance and cleaning.
• Gathers and/or requests materials to complete a job.
• Is part of the company's Respirator Protection Program.
• Is trained on and uses forklift as needed.
• Drives company vehicles as needed.
• Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by Alcatraz Cruises from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Crewmembers with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
• Upon employment, all crewmembers are required to fully comply with Alcatraz Cruises rules and regulations. Employees who violate Alcatraz Cruises rules and regulations will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• 2 years building and Vessel maintenance experience preferred .
• TWIC Required.
• Weekend and Holiday Availability Required.
• Drivers License.
