Job Summary
Our client, a leading company in the food distribution industry, is seeking a skilled Facilities Technician to support the maintenance, repair, and operation of facility equipment and infrastructure at their Jacksonville, FL location. This is a contract position requiring 3 to 5 years of building maintenance experience in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Location: Jacksonville, FL (3100 Hilton St, Jacksonville, FL 32209)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (occasional overtime as needed)
Hours: 40 hours per week
Travel: None required
Compensation: Competitive rate

Key Responsibilities
- Perform general building maintenance and repairs
- Repair and maintain dock doors
- Repair and replace door hardware including handles, locks, and hinges
- Replace light bulbs and fixtures
- Perform faucet and plumbing fixture repairs
- Conduct preventive maintenance on facility systems and equipment
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues using hand tools and maintenance equipment

Required Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of building maintenance experience
- Demonstrated mechanical troubleshooting ability
- Experience with dock door repair and maintenance
- Experience repairing and replacing door hardware
- Experience with plumbing fixture repairs
- Proficiency using hand tools and maintenance equipment
- Ability to pass required interview process

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a warehouse, distribution, or industrial facility setting
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
