Echodyne is seeking a Facilities Technician II to join our fast-growing team.
The Facilities Technician II supports mission-critical facility operations in a high-tech radar manufacturing and engineering environment. This role ensures the reliability of infrastructure supporting RF labs, clean/controlled spaces, and precision manufacturing areas. The technician performs preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs across facility systems, with a strong focus on minimizing disruptions to sensitive radar testing and production activities.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain and repair facility systems supporting manufacturing and engineering operations, including:
HVAC systems supporting temperature and humidity control for RF labs and production spaces
Electrical distribution systems (including clean power and UPS systems for sensitive equipment)
Compressed air, vacuum systems, and specialty gases (if applicable)
ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) controls and grounding systems
Support infrastructure critical to radar development and testing:
RF shielded rooms / anechoic chambers (basic upkeep and issue identification)
Lab exhaust, ventilation, and environmental stability
Equipment power drops, cable management, and workstation setups
Perform preventative maintenance and calibration support to ensure environmental stability for precision electronics and radar systems
Troubleshoot facility-related issues impacting engineering labs and production uptime
Respond to urgent facility issues that could impact testing, calibration, or manufacturing schedules
Use CMMS to track work orders, preventative maintenance schedules, and compliance records
Partner with engineering teams to support lab modifications, new equipment installs, and facility upgrades
Coordinate and oversee specialized contractors (HVAC, electrical, cleanroom, RF shielding vendors)
Serve on the Echodyne Safety Committee and ensure compliance with:
OSHA and workplace safety standards
Environmental, health, and safety (EHS) requirements
ITAR and facility access control protocols (as applicable)
Support energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives without compromising lab performance
Participate in on-call rotation for critical facility issues
REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE
Associate's degree or technical certification in Facilities Maintenance, HVAC, Electrical, or related field (or equivalent experience)
3-6 years of experience in facilities maintenance in a high-tech manufacturing, aerospace, or defense environment
Working knowledge of:
HVAC systems with tight environmental tolerances
Electrical systems, including clean power and backup systems
Mechanical systems supporting lab and manufacturing operations
Experience using CMMS systems
Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams, blueprints, and technical documentation
DESIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE
(Looking for one or more as a complement to the core skills)
Experience supporting RF labs, electronics manufacturing, or test environments
Familiarity with:
Anechoic chambers or RF shielded environments
ESD controls and requirements for sensitive electronics
EPA certification (HVAC refrigerant handling)
Electrical license or apprenticeship
Experience working in ITAR-controlled or security-sensitive environments
Basic understanding of PLCs, building automation systems (BAS), or SCADA systems

$25-$37.70 USD
