Facilities Technician – Refrigerated Food Production Facility (Linden, NJ)
We are seeking a
skilled and reliable Facilities Technician to support the daily operation, maintenance, and repair of our refrigerated food production facility. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in facilities maintenance, mechanical/electrical troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance in an industrial or food manufacturing environment.
Objectives of this Role
· ● Assists with maintaining building security and immediately responds to building emergencies during scheduled shift
· ● Monitors and replaces light bulbs in all assigned facilities, as needed
· ● Assists with departmental and employee moves
· ● Hangs pictures and shelving, as needed
· ● Dismantles and installs furniture
· ● Transports goods or equipment as assigned
· ● Performs other maintenance duties as assigned by the Facilities Maintenance Manager
Responsible for all powered equipment, unscheduled maintenance and preventive maintenance
· ● Provides immediate assistance to automated production equipment, troubleshoot issues and
Skills and Requirements
· ● Must be mechanically inclined, with a safety-first mentality
· ● Must have a “Can Do Attitude” and be Self-starter as well as a team player
· ● Must be able to take direction as well as ownership of given tasks
· ● Understand and follow oral and written instructions
· ● Ability to prioritize and manage multi-functional tasks
· ● Ability to work effectively under pressure, and against strict time constraints
· ● Ability to use standard powered and non-powered tools
· ● Must be able to utilize/view a PC and/or monitor
· ● Must be able to walk, bend, stand and reach for extended periods of time
· ● Must be comfortable and able to work at heights of 20 feet
· ● Must be able to work independently without direct supervision
· ● Able to work in a refrigerated environment most of the day
· ● Must be able to lift up to 49 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
· ● Must be willing and able to work in a refrigerated environment (10°ree;-40°ree;)
· ● Must be able to stand/walk for up to 10-12 hours with or without reasonable accommodation

Working Conditions: Work is primarily conducted in the office and food production environment. This position may require night, holiday and/or weekend work.
