Now Hiring: Facilities Maintenance Technician

Express Employment Professionals is seeking a skilled and dependable Facilities Maintenance Technician to join a growing team in the Canton area. If you enjoy hands-on work, solving problems, and maintaining facilities to the highest standards, we want to hear from you.

In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the overall condition, safety, and functionality of commercial facilities. The ideal candidate will have experience in general building maintenance, HVAC systems, electrical repairs, plumbing, and facility upkeep.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect buildings and facilities to identify maintenance and repair needs
• Repair and maintain mechanical systems in compliance with health and safety standards
• Perform electrical maintenance, including replacing light fixtures, bulbs, outlets, and circuit breakers
• Assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC, ventilation, and refrigeration systems
• Maintain and troubleshoot heating, plumbing, and related building systems
• Inspect fire alarms and other safety systems and coordinate repairs as needed
• Complete general building repairs, including doors, locks, windows, and fixtures
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and facility systems
• Assist with landscaping, grounds maintenance, and exterior facility upkeep
• Complete painting, carpentry, and other facility improvement projects
• Support pest control activities and maintain a clean, safe work environment
• Follow all company safety procedures and regulations

Qualifications

• Previous experience in facility maintenance, building maintenance, or a related field
• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
• Understanding of general maintenance procedures and preventative maintenance practices
• Experience working with hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety
• Ability to lift, carry, climb, bend, and perform physically demanding tasks
• Valid driver's license preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• HVAC certification or related technical training
• Building Maintenance Technology certificate or similar education
• Maintenance-related certifications
• Experience with commercial or industrial facility maintenance
