Facilities Technician (Temp-to-Hire)

Our client, a well-established organization in the Richmond area, is seeking a Facilities Technician to join their team on a temp-to-hire basis. This role is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in maintaining a safe and functional environment, and can handle a variety of building and maintenance needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform general maintenance and repairs across the facility, including basic electrical, plumbing, and HVAC support, while partnering with external facilities vendors to coordinate and support larger repairs and service projects
Conduct routine inspections to identify and address maintenance issues proactively
Respond to service requests and troubleshoot building-related concerns in a timely manner
Assist with vendor coordination for larger repairs and scheduled maintenance projects
Support office moves, furniture setup, and space adjustments as needed
Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and organized manner
Qualifications:
2+ years of facilities, maintenance, or building operations experience
Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues independently
Strong attention to detail and reliability in completing tasks
Comfortable with physical work, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset

Schedule: Monday-Friday, standard business hours
