Field Technician Position Summary:
As Spark continues to grow, we are actively seeking a skilled Field Technician to join our Operations team, reporting directly to the Director of Product. The Field Technician plays an integral, hands-on role in ensuring that Spark Car Wash maintains best-in-class facilities by executing a comprehensive maintenance and repair program. This work protects our equipment, ensures the safety of our team members, and ultimately delivers a cleaner car for our customers. This role will be field based, serving our growing store base in Northern New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. The Field Technician is expected to travel to stores 100% of the time and be on-site at locations daily. Since the Field Technician role requires travel between locations and/or driving on behalf of the company, candidates must have and hold a valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintenance Audits: Ensure General Managers and teams complete daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance checklists accurately and consistently.
Process & Scheduling: Maintain maintenance schedules for all equipment.
Troubleshooting & Repairs: Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, plumbing, and water system issues.
Safety Optimization: Uphold a clean, safe work environment by enforcing Spark’s safety policies and procedures.
Inventory Management: Track and manage inventory of parts, tools, and key equipment components.
Vendor Coordination: Collaborate with third-party vendors to procure equipment, schedule service, and manage relationships.
Installation Support: Assist with equipment delivery and setup during new store openings or remodels, working closely with the Real Estate, Construction, and Operations teams.
Reporting: Document and report on all equipment downtime, repair activity, and facility-related concerns.
Special Projects: Working with the Operations team members on additionally assigned duties
Requirements
Required Skills, Education & Experience:
High school diploma or GED preferred
Proven experience in troubleshooting and maintaining:
Electrical Systems: VFDs, relays, sensors, switches, three-phase motors, etc.
