Facilities Technician

What You'll Do
- Respond to, prioritize, and complete maintenance work orders for resident requests
- Perform general building repairs including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, painting, appliances, and yard work
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of common areas, maintenance areas, and equipment
- Transport residents on outings or appointments using company vehicles when needed
- Inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment to ensure safety and curb appeal
- Follow preventative maintenance schedules and document testing logs
- Coordinate supply inventory, obtain approvals for purchases, and maintain stock of parts and equipment
- Respond to emergencies and report issues or recommend solutions to the Facilities Manager
- Back up other maintenance personnel during vacations or absences and rotate on-call responsibilities
What You'll Need
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of two years of related experience
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Basic math skills and ability to calculate figures, amounts, and percentages
- Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out instructions and solve problems
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends, holidays, and respond to emergencies
- Physical ability to bend, stoop, kneel, lift, perform overhead work, and move intermittently throughout the day
- Ability to maintain a courteous and professional demeanor with residents, coworkers, vendors, and the public
- Ability to operate phones, pagers, fax machines, and other office equipment
