Primary Job Functions: Cleaning and organizing maintenance facility warehouse, inventory control and pick-ups/deliveries.
Salary Lane: Hourly pay starting at $17.00.
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Assigned Workday Calendar: 260/261 Days (Year-Round)
Job Status: Full-Time - 40 Hours per Week
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 5:30am 2:00pm

Qualifications: Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required. Certification: None is required. Experience: None is required. Skills and Knowledge: Basic computer skills, forklift operation, pallet truck, knowledge of custodial equipment and the products we use. Must be capable of handling 55-gallon drums without help. Knowledge and experience in the use of grounds department equipment. Other: Ability to maintain a positive relationship with pupils, staff, parents, and the community.
Essential Functions: Clean front office area daily and re-organize warehouse area as needed. Operate all types of facilities/grounds equipment. Seasonal outside painting & landscaping work. Operate both types of forklifts and pallet trucks. Drive and back up truck with lift gate and mirrors. Be capable of handling 55-gallon drums independently. Rotate stock in warehouse after each outgoing Custodial order. Unload, accept and account for all deliveries from vendors. Input into Sortly, warehouse software. Deliver products, chemicals, equipment and furniture to all buildings. Have knowledge of the products and chemicals that are used and read and understand Safety Data Sheets concerning these chemicals. Be aware of and practice universal precautions. Recycle pallets, metal and cardboard as needed. All pick-up/deliveries as requested, including pantry needs, clay for buildings, food for kitchens, plants for OLC Annual Sale and many more. Assist with the Annual Surplus Sale. Maintain an exemplary attendance record. Comply with all Avon Community School Corporation policies, guidelines, procedures, and protocols. Participate in professional development, as assigned. Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
