POSITION SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Chief Operating Officer, the Facility Project Coordinator will plan, organize, assist in the areas of facility/grounds maintenance, and repair; equipment maintenance, repair and installation and assist in project management. This position requires working at all clinic sites as directed by supervisor. This position is key in supporting NVIH growth and various construction projects, including smaller tenant-improvements (TI) as well as new buildings.

Facilities Coordination
1. Assist in the proper care, repair, and maintenance of the NVIH facilities, parking area, and landscaping.
2. Through direction from the Chief Operating Officer, works with NVIH staff, contractors/sub contractors on scheduling and coordinating repairs, installations, small construction remodeling, grounds improvements, and maintenance projects.
3. Respond to NVIH Maintenance Ticket Request System inquiries
4. Test or calibrate components and equipment, following manufacturers’ manuals and troubleshooting techniques, using hand tools, power tools, or measuring devices. Examples: (diagnose minor plumbing and electrical issues requiring a working knowledge of how to find the area and volume of a space, how to locate framing members in the wall and identify basic building materials, and have a basic understanding of how to read plans.)
5. Identify non-ADA complaint areas, openings, paths of travel and other elements to renovate and bring up to compliant standards
6. Inspecting the facilities for general building health conducting hazard assessments and making recommendations to maintain a clean and safe facility.
7. Maintain and update Facility Project Plan monitoring progress of small to moderate projects, providing guidance to Facility Technicians when necessary.
8. Other job duties as assigned by Chief Operating Officer.
Construction Coordination
9. Assist in project planning, budgeting, and identification of resources needed
10. Create schedules and project timelines, and ensure that deadlines are met
11. Coordinate and monitor the efforts and technical performance of all parties involved in the project, which include clients, architects, contractors, subcontractors, and laborers
12. Monitor the progress of the construction
13. activities on a regular basis and hold regular status meetings with the project team
14. Ensuring project activities comply with the project plans and company policies
15. As NVIH main point of contact, communicate with project stakeholders, contractors, and other relevant parties to keep them informed of progress and any changes
16. Maintain strict adherence to budgetary guidelines, quality standards, and safety regulations
17. Perform risk management to minimize project risks by identifying and escalating any potential issues or roadblocks to the successful completion of the project
18. Prepare, review, and update project documentation, including contracts, permits, and technical reports
19. Assist in the close-out of completed projects, including finalizing paperwork, passing on warranty information, and facilitating project reviews
20. Maintain and update Construction Project Plan, monitoring progress, adjusting as necessary, ensuring all construction projects are appropriately monitored to complete on time and within budget.
21. Provide routine report to Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer on progress of all NVIH Facilities and Construction Projects

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS, AND LICENSES:
1. Bachelor's degree with three (3) years experience or Associates degree with six (6) years experience; degree in project management, building science, construction management or relevant field.
2. PMP or equivalent certificate highly preferred
3. Three (3) years of required experience must be in practical maintenance.
4. Organizational skills to manage and oversee various aspects of construction projects from start to finish effectively
5. Technical knowledge in construction and understanding of blueprints, plans, and construction methods to ensure projects meet industry standards, including but not limited to ADA in healthcare settings.
6. Interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with clients, contractors, architects, and other stakeholders involved in the project.
7. Strong problem-solving skills to deal with any potential issues that may arise during the construction project.
8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills to coordinate between various stakeholders and to clearly relay information, including facilitating meetings and public speaking.
9. Time management skills to ensure that construction projects are completed within the given time frame. Decision-making abilities to make critical decisions related to project planning and execution.
10. Work independently under limited supervision
11. Strong organizational, problem-solving and analytical skills with acute attention to detail with spatial awareness of complex matters.
12. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including the ability to write and run reports and manage a calendar
13. Reliable transportation and ability to engage in regular attendance; travel to other sites as assigned.
14. Valid California driver’s license
15. Due to insurance purposes must be 21 years old or older as well as clean DMV report and insurable by NVIH in auto insurance carrier.
16. Must have experience operating power tools, i.e., leaf blower, hedge trimmer, etc. and follow all CalOSHA guidelines in operating such equipment.
